I'm curious and steadfastly hopeful. What shapes us, how we relate to others and the world around us fascinates me deeply.
On a personal level, I'm a perimenopausal middle aged woman who has ADHD (yes, yes, doesn't everyone?), I'm a mother (one I birthed, two came as bonuses along with husband #2). I grew up in Sweden but went on a gap year to the UK and 30 years later I'm still here.
I'm a recovering addict and as such I have an overwhelming and unfaltering belief that we can do hard things - even what seems impossible.
I'm a lover of books and stories, running calms my soul and my happy place is the forest - you can probably tell, right?
I qualified as an integrative counsellor, trained further in existential psychotherapy and reflective practice. I am accredited (MBACP, NCPS Prof Accred) and insured.
I am also a certified recovery coach, which I added because addiction is my key area and I needed a wider toolkit to reach those who are still in active addiction. Psychotherapy is indeed great, but with addiction it's often more effective with a bit of sober/clean time under your belt.
